Peacefully, at Grisedale Croft Care Home, Alston, on Monday, 10th June, Harry of Alston, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Eva, much loved dad, father-in-law, uncle, grandad and great grandad and good friend to many. Family and friends please meet at Eden Valley Crematorium on Thursday, 27th June for service at 12:30pm. Family flowers only, if possible, please wear something yellow in memory of Harry (his favourite colour). Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Friday, 14th June, Raymond (Ray) of Penruddock, Penrith, beloved husband of Janey, dear dad of Karen and the late Mark, grandad of Sarah and Rachel and a sadly missed uncle, father-in-law, brother-in-law and a friend to many. Aged 89 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Thursday, 27th June at 2.00pm. Nèe Cooper. Suddenly, at home on Wednesday, 5th June, Ella of Stainton, Penrith, a much loved mam, stepmother, nana, great-nana, auntie and a good friend to many. Aged 93 years. Peacefully, after a short illness, on Thursday 6th June at Winton, with his family by his side. John Burrow of Sand Croft, Penrith (formerly of Warcop) dearly loved husband of the late Joyce, much loved dad of Angela, Tricia and Diane, father-in-law of Paul, Alan and Richard, treasured Grandad of Russell, Louise, Catherine, Rebecca and Lucy, great grandad of Maria, Grayson and Vallea and a sadly missed uncle and friend. Aged 89 years. Funeral Service to be held at Eden Valley Crematorium on Thursday, 20thJune at 12.30 pm. Fox

Peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, 9th June, Roger Henry of Lazonby, Penrith, beloved husband of the late Jennifer dearly loved father of Daphne, Richard, Stephen and Rachel and much loved by his eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Aged 92 years. Roger dedicated his life to his family and the communities he lived in and was respected in the village of Lazonby and in the global community of canoe slalom, Roger has inspired the lives of many. Service and interment at St. Nicholas’ Church, Lazonby on Friday, 21st June at 12.00 noon. No flowers please.
