Peacefully, at home, on Saturday, 13th February, John of Newlands Place, Penrith, darling husband and soulmate of Sybil for 75 years and Butcher at Penrith Co-op for 50 years, a dear uncle and friend to many. Aged 96 years. Private Service at Christ Church, Penrith on Monday, 22nd February at 1.30 pm followed by interment at Penrith Cemetery. For those wishing to pay their respects, the cortege will leave Newland Place at 1. 15 pm and travel past Penrith Co-op. Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Monday, 8th February, Harvey of Edenhall, Penrith, beloved husband of Margaret, a brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Aged 84 years. Peacefully at home, on Monday, 1st February, Doris Graham, aged 90 years, of Tirril, Penrith, devoted wife of the late Ivor, much loved mum of Judith, Christopher and the late Nigel, mother-in-law of John, Gwen and the late Helen, gran of Victoria, Elizabeth, Leo and Rachel and great-gran of Nora and Joshua, also a dear sister of Joan and a much missed cousin, aunt and great-aunt. Peacefully, at Penrith Hospital, on Saturday, 30th January, Sylvia of Sandcroft, Penrith, beloved wife of Dougie, much loved mother of Shaun, Beverly and Dean, mother-in-law of Carol, Steven and Zilla, a sadly missed grandma, great-grandma and sister of Edith. Aged 76 years. Sylvia's last journey will leave Sandcroft on Friday 19th February at 1.30 pm traveling down Fell Lane onto Meeting House Lane heading up to Townhead along the A6 to Carlisle Crematorium. Sadly and unexpectedly at The Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle on Wednesday, 27th January, Mary of Pennyhill Park, Penrith, much loved mam of Mark, Paul, Shaun, and Amy and a sadly missed mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, sister and auntie, a good friend of Sandra and Pauline and everyone who knew her. Aged 71 years. Private Service at Penrith Methodist Church on Tuesday, 16th February, followed by Private interment at St. Kentigern’s Church, Castle Sowerby.
